  1. Lo primero la noche de antes tenemos que dejar las lentejas a remojo, hay gente que utiliza las de bote, pero sinceramente prefiero las de verdad ;)
  2. Pelamos y cortamos muy muy fina la media cebolla y la zanahoria y la ponemos en una cazuela a pochar, a la vez en una sartén doramos con un poco de aceite, el cuarto de chorizo picante cortado en rodajas y añadimos, aceite incluido, a la cazuela con las verduras.
  3. Cuando tengamos todo, añadimos el hueso de jamón, el laurel, el vaso de caldo y el vaso de agua. Yo utilizo caldo de pollo y aprovecho y así no le pongo sal, pero esto es a gusto de cada uno.
  4. Cuando lo tengamos en ebullición añadimos las lentejas y media cucharada sopera de comino molido. Bajamos el fuego, tapamos y dejamos las lentejas a fuego medio durante 40/45 minutos.
  5. Tapamos de nuevo y esperamos unos 10/15 minutos.
  6. Cuando lleven 30/35 minutos aproximadamente añadimos la patata lavada, yo lo que hago no es echarla troceada sino “cascarla” encima de la cacerola para añadir el almidón de la patata y que ligue un poco más.
  7. Pasados en total 40/45 minutos ya las tenemos listas para comer, un plato rico en hierro y que para días de frío viene estupendamente.
